Capturing Memories

About Me

I came to this work through my own family's photographs — and that's shaped everything about how I approach yours.

Let's Work Together

AUTHENTIC, EMOTIONAL, TIMELESS

My approach is simple: I show up, I pay attention, and I react. To the emotions, the in-between moments, the way light falls, the way people look at each other when they think no one is watching.

I start by getting to know you — having real conversations that ease the tension between you and the camera. From there, everything unfolds naturally. I use documentary and editorial techniques to capture what's actually happening, with gentle guidance along the way so you always feel and look your best. Nothing forced, nothing staged.

My images are true to color and vibrant, with a mix of soft and moody light depending on what the moment calls for. I process for minor color, exposure, and crop corrections — no heavy retouching, no compositing. What you see is real life.

Every image on this website is from a real couple or client I've worked with. No styled shoots, ever.

For those who want something a little more tactile and timeless, analog film photography is available as an add-on. I shoot on a Bronica SQ-A medium format camera, and polaroid options are available as well.

Inspiration & Backstory

My love for photography is rooted in my family's story. My mother is from Colombia, my father from Uruguay — two immigrants who met in Florida, married within two months, and built a life together that lasted 37 years. My father's uncle photographed their wedding, and those photos have lived on our walls my entire life.

After my father passed, one of the things I held onto most were the photo albums he kept — film photos from the 1980s of their everyday moments, their love, their adventures, and early snapshots of my childhood in the 90s. A visual story of everything we were building together.

Those images shaped the way I see my work. They reminded me that a photograph isn't just a picture — it's something you pass down. Something that lets the people who come after you feel who you were.

That's what I want to give you. Genuine, beautiful images of the moments that matter most — the kind you'll return to for the rest of your life, and so will the people you love.

What my clients say

Erica & Artie

“Words cannot express how grateful we are for Jessica! She is friendly and brought such a warm and calming energy on the wedding day, and made our small group of family and friends in attendance feel so comfortable. She captured the most beautiful and special and we were truly blown away when we saw our photos. She was quick to respond to any question we had, and sent previews of our photos and the full galleries so much sooner than we had expected!”
