Before their wedding day, I had the chance to do a fun portrait session with Ann and Robby out in Joshua Tree National Park, hitting up Cap Rock and then Boy Scout Trailhead — the very spot where the two of them first met. Their vibrant, carefree energy came through in every shot, and it set my expectations high for their wedding day.
Those expectations were met and then some. Ann and Robby's ceremony took place at their cozy cabin in Joshua Tree, surrounded by the people who mean the most to them. What made it even more meaningful: Robby built that cabin himself back in the 90s, alongside some of the very same guests who were there celebrating with them. Getting to witness their love and commitment in a space built with that kind of history and intention was genuinely inspiring — it's not every day a wedding venue carries that much personal meaning.
A lot of the guests were good friends made across all the different chapters of Ann and Robby's lives, and it showed. Hearing the speeches was so sweet — you could tell this was a group of people who genuinely love each other and feel deeply connected, no matter which era of the story they came from.
The whole day was full of laughter, love, and connection — and delicious tacos from @harvest_kitchen that had everyone going back for seconds. Surrounded by the people who helped build both the cabin and their love story, Ann and Robby savored every single moment.
