Congratulations to Cristina and @keviningraham on their stunning, intimate elopement at Joshua Tree National Park! There's something so special about a couple choosing to say their vows tucked among the boulders, just the two of them and the desert as witness — and this colorful session truly captured all of that magic.
Cristina's look was the perfect complement to the setting: a beautiful gown from a Colombian designer that brought an extra layer of elegance to the day, playing beautifully against the raw, sculptural backdrop of the park. Kevin was looking just as sharp — I was totally obsessed with his fossil bolo tie, such a perfect, personal touch that tied right into the desert setting.
For this elopement, I shot the whole day on both digital and analog film — medium format, to be exact. Film has a special place in my heart. I have a Bachelor of Science in photography and spent four years working in a darkroom, so working with film isn't just technique for me, it's genuinely where I feel most at home. I still hand-scan every negative myself, and a huge shoutout to @thatonephotolab for developing.
Exploring the park with Cristina and Kevin during their session was such a joy — they had incredible style and even better energy. We closed out the day capturing stunning moments during golden hour, when the whole park lights up gold and every shadow gets long and soft — my favorite light to shoot in, and this couple made the most of it. I truly have the best clients, and I'm so glad I finally got these scans shared.
Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness!
